Working in Saigon – A day in the life

Saigon (officially known as Ho Chi Minh City) is Vietnam largest city with a population of around 8 million people and over 5 million motorbikes. Anyone that has visited this city will agree that it is crazy busy, making crossing the road a bit of a gauntlet and finding a quiet area even more difficult.

Nerves, nerves, nerves

4 weeks today and we’ll be setting off on our trip.  The last time I posted here it was 11 weeks to go.  I’m at a loss to know what the hell I’ve been doing over the past 7 weeks.  Time has seriously flown in.

Time’s flying.  11 weeks tomorrow.

Time is flying by at the minute.  I think it must be down to being so busy in work with conferences (8 in 8 weeks and counting), countless brochures, Northern Ireland Yearbook, re-branding, white van man and general technical ‘go to’ guy.  Never a dull moment.  I don’t mind so much because I know that come the 16th January I will be starting the RTW adventure.

Sitting in. No fun.

Its been a tough month since Donna and I are taking part in the so-called “Shoestring September” we are only allowed to get by on £10 per week (excluding Diesel money) .  Getting by on a budget like this during the week is fine but when it comes to the weekend, its no fun at all.  This is especially true when you know all you mates are going out and you’ve opted to sit in.
